Maintenance Research Day 2016

Op 4 februari organiseerden de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (Rob Basten) en de Universiteit Twente (Alberto Martinetti) gezamenlijk de Maintenance Research Day 2016 die plaatsvond in het NS hoofdgebouw in Utrecht. Tijdens dit eerste event wordt een overzicht gegeven van al het wetenschappelijk onderzoek dat in Nederland en Vlaanderen plaatsvindt op het gebied van maintenance. Het is de bedoeling dat het event jaarlijks gaat plaatsvinden. De dag werd met meer dan 70 deelnemers druk bezocht door PhD studenten, onderzoekers en geïnteresseerde bedrijven. Tugce Martagan received Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowship from the European Commission

Dr. Tugce Martagan, Assistant Professor in the Operations, Planning, Accounting, and Control group, received the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowship (177,598 EUR for 2016-2018). The research grant is provided by the European Commission under Horizon 2020 program (European Union framework program for research and innovation). Prof. Geert-Jan van Houtum and Prof. Ivo Adan will be the supervisors in the research project.

Proactive Service Logistics Next has been awarded a one milion euro grant

In the NWO accelerator call, a consortium headed by the TU/e has been awarded a one million euro grant. Most parties in the consortium have been working together for over ten years to perform applied research in the area of service logistics, i.e., the orchestration of all aspects of the after sales service for advanced capital goods. OML enters top 20 world’s best supply chain programs

The master’s program entered the top 20 of world’s best supply chain programs (source: SCM World University ranking). 719 supply chain professionals were asked: “As a marker of supply chain talent, please select your top three universities.” Respondents were given a drop-down menu comprising 192 universities known to have supply chain offerings within their business programmes. The list reflects only what working supply chain practitioners think of the brand value of these business schools and is not an assessment of their research, academic strength or even whether they offer formal supply chain degrees.
