Researchers receive funding for an EU Horizon 2020 project

Researchers from the School of Industrial Engineering received funding for an EU Horizon 2020 project, within the ITN scheme, to prepare the next generation of European digital retail managers through research and training. Dr. Nevin Mutlu and Prof. Dr. Tom Van Woensel will be working on this project PERFORM “Pioneering the Digital Future for Omnichannel Retail Managers,” which aims to attack a wide spectrum of emerging retailing issues in the age of digitalization. €3.8 M funding obtained through the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions will be used for the training of 15 PhD students through research. Retail Operations Lab at TU/e among the top research labs worldwide in this field

According to a recent review paper, Eindhoven University of Technology scores very well in research on Retail Operations. Five of the 14 scientists having the most publications in this field worldwide in the last 10 years are from the Retail Operations Lab at TU/e.
